MISK MEDCARE, by operating based on its mission, provides health and supportive care to individuals who need help in living in their home rather than in group homes.
 
We also provide care for seniors in group homes, developmentally challenged individuals and to people facing mental and emotional challenges who require supportive care toward recovery & independence.
 
Our Agency provides highly skilled and efficient Registered and Practical Nurses, and other Para-medical professionals who service hospitals, nursing homes, and other health/social institutions.
 
MISK Medcare, provides supportive staffs who work with people in their own homes, accompanying individuals for medical or recreational appointments and other supportive/therapeutic cares.
 

The Ontario government requires all Personal Support Workers (PSW) to complete the following:

  • Immunization record
  • Up to date Hepatitis B vaccine
  • Criminal Reference Check

Basic duties and responsibilities of a personal support worker:
  
  • Observes and report's clinical and treatment information, behavioral changes
  •  Assists with range of motion exercises, and other rehabilitative measures
  • Takes and records blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, bodyweight and height
  • Assists with ambulating and mobilization of patient
  • Collects specimens for required medical tests
  • Provides emotional and support services to care-receivers and families
  • Assists with personal hygiene
  • Assists with meal preparation, grocery shopping, dietary planning, food and fluid intake
